UPDATED DOG LAWS - 31st DECEMBER 2023
As of Monday 1st January 2024, all dogs on the Dangerous Dogs Act List must adhere to the following:
Be registered with/ have proof of application for registration with the Index of Exempted Dogs (IED).
Be neutered in line with government rules.
Be kept on lead and muzzled until the gate is shut when entering the field. The dog is then to be put back on lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the field. You can remove the lead and muzzle once inside the secured field.
If the household has more than one dog, they can visit the meadow together, but the banned breed dog must have its own handler and then another member of the same household, needs to be present to supervise the other dog/s. If there is more than one banned breed in the household, each dog must have its own handler.
PLEASE NOTE: We are only allowed dogs from the same household at the meadow, as per our trading terms. There are only limited slots for new visitors, as I have to be there for your first visit, so please do not book an existing user slot if you have not been before, as this will be cancelled automatically. All poo must be picked up and taken home with you. Many thanks .
THE GATE CODE WILL BE SENT BY EMAIL TO THE EMAIL ADDRESS ENTERED WHEN BOOKING, 2 HOURS BEFORE YOUR SLOT.
How it works
Our 50 minutes sessions start on the hour. You'll also get 5 minutes to load you dogs back into the car. We have a 5 minute cross over period between bookings to ensure that dogs can enter/exit the field safely without meeting or seeing other dogs.
Start Time: Field use starts on the hour, please do not drive through the entrance gate from the road if you're early, wait outside until 5 minutes to the hour and as long as the parking area is clear.
Duration: Field use lasts for 50 minutes with 5 minutes at the end to get dogs back into your car. You must vacate the car parking area 5 minutes before the next hour.
Vehicles: Only 1 car permitted on site at any given time.
Children: Our field is for the exercise of dogs and is not a playground for children. Max of 3 children per visit and children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Footballs must not be kicked at the fences.
Postpone/re-schedule a session: 48 notice is required to re-schedule or postpone a session. You can now re-schedule a session yourself online. Bookings are non refundable and non transferable. If less than 48 hours notice is given the session is lost. If you postpone a session it must be taken within 3 months.
Dog poop: All dog waste must be picked up with your own dog waste bags. Please take them home with you.
Dog Health: Your dog must be healthy and showing no signs of illness when visiting our dog park. Max of 6 dogs
Location - The dog park is located down Flemings Farm Road, off Green Lane, Eastwood, Leigh-On-Sea. As Flemings Farm road narrows, Maisie’s Meadow is the first field on the left hand side.
